The Workout

Simply put, NOVO PILATES workout is a combination of resistance training and Pilates' method. Basically, the workout utilises the best of both: the strengthening and toning benefit of weight training and the lengthening and postural benefits from using the Pilates equipment. We will be sure to keep your heart rate up to burn extra calories.

Under the guidance of a teacher, using a system of springs to accommodate the resistance and counter resistance elements of the workout, it is one of the safest ways to strengthen your muscles while reducing stress on the joints and connective tissues. Its unique design empowers users to create a lean and strong body.

We base our workout on the proven principle that people don’t need more exercise time to get fit, they just need more intensity. The body responds more to intensity than it does to the duration of the workout.

One of the keys to NOVO PILATES workout is pushing the body toward muscle failure. As the term implies, NOVO PILATES workout isolates the use of specific muscles until they can no longer be exerted. Ironically, muscle failure is the only proven path to successfully achieve muscle definition.

Dynamic

This class mixes cardio interval training with weights, the Pilates ring, bars and resistance on the reformer. We’ll be doing lunges and squats as well as classic Pilates work. Great for beginners or advanced students who want an intense workout.

Novo Pilates Basics

This class is for people with little or no recent experience on the Pilates reformers and also for those who like to stick to Basics. We’ll teach you how to fire up your core and use the equipment safely. This is also an excellent refresher course, so you’ll still get a great workout. 

 Pre & Post Natal

Novo Pilates is perfect for getting ready for delivery or bouncing back after it. Appropriate for expecting mums in any stage of pregnancy. Also great for new mums who have delivered, to get your pelvic power back. We recommend you ask your doctor if this is right for you.

 Private Classes

Your personal Pilates trainer will give you a great introduction to Pilates, help with injuries and make sure that your strength and endurance improve. They can help you set goals and monitor progress over time in order to achieve long-lasting results. Also, if you want to work out with a friend, sign up for a duo session.
